First-Time NAPMA Innovations DVD Segment for Students and Parents Helps Members Combat the "Bystander Effect"
NAPMA announces that the June NAPMA Innovations DVD will feature a first-of-its-kind segment, introduced by NAPMA President Rob Colasanti, directed to adults students and parents. The segment shows a recent NBC-TV News story of a mock child-abduction, as staged by the news reporter and a child actor, to record examples of the bystander effect. |
The bystander effect is a scientifically studied reaction by the public to an event, such as a child-abduction, which the public would rather not acknowledge or become involved.
The video presentation will educate instructors, adults students and parents about the "bystander effect," and help instructors reinforce the importance and unmatched value of self-defense training at your school.
