9.The Black Belt Referrals Report: Referrals Systems: Easy, Affordable and Effective
|
|
The Black Belt Referrals Report, “Referral Systems: Easy, Affordable and Effective,” not only explains why referral systems are one of your most important lead generating tools, but also provides you with 20 no-cost, low-cost referrals systems.
These referral systems have been thoroughly “test-driven” through many of the most successful martial arts schools, so they are proven to be effective. In fact, seven NSSN faculty members contributed referral systems that they have and continue to use in their schools.
NAPMA and the NSSN faculty have done the “heavy lifting,” now it’s time for you to take action and dramatically impact the growth of your school with the implementation of these referral systems.

| 11. The G.O.L.D. Leadership Report: Leadership, the Planet and Promoting Your School Like a Genius by Tom Callos and Tim Rosanelli |
|
Tom Callos and NAPMA member and special guest, Tim Rosanelli, present a May G.O.L.D Team Leadership Report that they consider the important of 2007. As the leader of the Environmental Self-Defense Initiative, Mr. Callos defines the term, environmental self-defense, and then explains why it is a traditional core value of the martial arts.
Mr. Rosanelli then relates his school’s 2006 environmental self-defense project, when his students distributed more than 250 tree seedlings throughout their community of Dublin, Pennsylvania.
The remainder of this G.O.L.D. Team Leadership Report provides step-by-step instructions to plan and manage a tree seedling giveaway at your school. This is the kind of project that is not only fun for your students, but also promotes stewardship of the environment. It also demonstrates your school’s leadership in the community.

| 12. Words of the Week: : Listening by Solomon Brenner |
|
“Listening”, the basis for this month’s Words of the Week, is certainly one of those skills that parents would like their children to learn from martial arts, and these four lessons will help you teach your students to improve their listening skills.
The first lesson teaches that “your ears will never get you in trouble,” an important concept for the many children (and adults) whose mouths often cause them trouble. Listening is also a positive characteristic of those who strive to be wise and not just knowledgeable.
The third lesson teaches that listening is a skill of understanding other people, thus reducing misunderstandings and misconceptions of other’s actions. You also become a better listener (and learner) when you accept that everyone in your life has something to teach you.
