15. Kickin' Newsletter

May’s Kickin’ Newsletter does its best to inform and educate your students about a number of important topics.

“Managing Pressure” is a skill that both children and adults must acquire to live, grow and succeed. The challenge is to learn how to use stress as a positive motivator.

HealthKick emphasizes that martial arts is a great activity for reducing stress and helping to keep you mind sharp, especially as you age.

Nine-year-old Kristen Marlor explains in Martial Arts Success Stories how her martial arts training helped her remain committed to her challenging fourth-grade science project, even when she felt like quitting.

Help your students relieve some of the pressure and keep their minds sharp with the fun of Martial Arts Word Guess in the Kid’s Zone.

16. Black Belt Club Newsletter

May is Black Belt Club Newsletter month and another opportunity to share ideas with your Black Belt students to motivate them to work hard. In fact, that is the point of the lead article, “Black Belt Diligence.” When they develop a diligent attitude toward achieving their Black Belts, they are also developing diligence as a life-long quality that will serve them well.

Learning mediation skills is the subject of this month’s Training Tip. “Taking a Vacation in Your Mind” presents practical methods to help your students “manage the pressure,” as explained in the Kickin’ Newsletter.

Direct your students to this month’s Biography of Diana Lee Inosanto as an inspirational example of how any martial arts student, including girls, can succeed beyond their biggest dreams.
