NAPMA switches the focus to families for marketing campaign #1 with three variations of the same message, each featuring a different family group. Use the family photographs that are the most appropriate for your school’s specific target audience(s), or you can easily insert an alternative family photo using the campaign files on the Media Master CD-ROM. You also find three different postcards instead of the typical four, with the three family photographs.

The campaign promotes the general benefits of martial arts for families as well as the importance of home security and emergency preparedness, which are also promoted in this month’s publicity campaign.

NAPMA has researched and adapted materials from the Family READY Program, provided by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to help you promote home security and emergency preparedness.

We’ve created a Family READY Security and Safety Checklist that you can distribute to your students with a letter to parents, explaining the program. Families work through the checklist to be sure their homes are secure and that all family members are prepared for natural disasters and other forms of community-wide or national emergencies.

Students return the checklist, signed by a parent, which is then signed by their instructor. Families who complete the checklist satisfactorily receive a Family READY Certificate, which NAPMA has already created and placed on the Media Master CD-ROM.

The Media Master CD-ROM also includes a number of PDF files from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that you can distribute to students’ families and others throughout your community and a press release to be customized for local media.
